BAHÍA DE LOS ANGELES

Participants:
Jerry Heydinger (Eric's boss), Cha Cha (Jerry's wife), Ben (Jerry's son), Eric Kolb, Ila Kolb (my friends), Justin & Kelly Cenzano (co-workers of Eric and Ila) Pat Marshall (Eric and Ila'a friend) & Sarah Ostapchuk

Trip Description:
I was invited on this trip by my friend Eric, who is stationed at the Los Angeles Air Force base.  I didn't really know many details about the trip, but decided that not much could go wrong when you mix a trip to Mexico with a native of the country (Cha Cha), a 10-12 hour drive, mexican food, and water sports.  Everything went as planned and I had a great time.  I'd like to thanks Eric for inviting me, driving the entire distance, and providing the entertainment (Pat).

Five Firsts for the trip:
First bee sting
First time snorkeling
First time cleaning a fish
First time scrubbing a sea turtle back
First time playing horseshoes

Trip details from Jerry:
As I mentioned a couple of months ago, I am planning a trip to Bahia de Los Angeles the 21st thru the 24th of May.  There is a possibility of leaving on the afternoon of the 20th, depending on what the final group, that plans to go, decides.  It is a 10 to 12 hour drive (one way), depending on the stops, but if you have never been to Baja it will be an adventure.  And once you have gone you will fall in love with Baja.  The attractions are the Bay, i.e. swimming, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.  Camping is on or near the beach.  You can sleep under the stars (worth the trip in itself).  There are showers (bring your own wood for hot shower) and flush toilets.  To get there, you will not need a four-wheel drive or off-rode vehicle, just on that can go 800-1000 miles without breaking down (seriously breaking down that is.)  Also, I may be able to take one or two additional people.
